Here is where we keep track of upcoming WA State legislation relevant to NextSteps.

Not much here now, but we expect this page to get quite active in the upcoming months.

For now, we are keeping track of legislation from the 2020 session, which ended in March.  Bill numbers, names and links to their text online at the wa.gov website is available on the google drive:

The next regular legislative session starts in January 2021.  There may be a special session called in summer 2020 to deal with the budget shortfall caused by the Covid epidemic.

Note:  Washington’s state legislature alternates between 105 day long sessions in odd-numbered years and 60 day short sessions in even-numbered years. The long sessions begin on the second Monday in January and run to April, while the short sessions take place January to March.
